Add Em Up

$74.95 US
"An impossible routine involving four spectators!
You've heard the phrase made infamous by magic dealers, ""Packs small; plays big!"" Add 'em Up lives up to these words!
Invite four spectators onstage to assist you. Introduce a clipboard; the kind they may see hanging in a kitchen. Ask the first person to jot down a three digit number. Have the second person do the same just below the first set of numbers. The third person does the same. You give the board to the fourth person and simply have them add up the numbers. During the entire performance, a prediction envelope has been hanging from the ceiling in plain view. The envelope is lowered and one of your spectators is asked to open the envelope and read the prediction. The prediction matches the random total of all of the numbers! It doesn't get much stronger than this!"

He now places one ring onto the table and drops one of the dice into the brass ring. The second brass ring is placed over the first. The steel ball is placed on top of the die. The second die is placed on top of the ball. Of course it won't sit flush because it's balanced on the ball. A magic pass and the second drops flush with the first! The top die is removed and the ball is gone! Ask a spectator to open the box. The ball is back inside! Hand the two dice two rings and the ball for immediate examination. Bengal Net Illusion The Bengal Net Illusion was always one of my favorite ways to vanish my doves. Grant/Mak Magic produced the finest Bengal Net on the market for many years. About ten years ago it was discontinued due to the low price of the imports from India. Along with the low price from Indian manufacturers you received a poorly manufactured prop that worked on a completely different method, thus making the prop and effect useless. About a year ago I asked the owner of Mak Magic for permission to bring back their version. They had no plans to remake it, so permission was granted. I gave my original Mak piece to one of my favorite builders who managed to recreate what I feel is one of the best illusions in magic. He managed to recreate the Bengal Net with two changes. The first is that the Bengal tiger artwork was replaced with a simple red with gold border top frame. The second was a simple redesign on the release switch, making it easier to release. If you're not familiar with the effect then read on... A dove or two are placed inside a cargo type net. A scarf is placed on the bottom of the netting so their feet do not poke through the holes in the netting. The net is then folded upward to hold the birds safely, then secured in place. The birds are visible right up until you release the net. The net falls open, the scarf flutters to the floor, and there is no trace of the birds. They are simply gone. The back drape behind the cargo netting is lifted to show a clear line of vision right through the net. Every time I performed this wonderful piece of magic, I heard ooohs and aaahs from the audience! It is startling! Imagine the Cargo Net Illusion/Vanishing Motorcycle Illusion in miniature...this is it! You're not restricted to using just birds either. You can use other small objects like oranges, wallets, cell phones, a Barbie doll, decks of cards, packs of cigarettes, a bottle of water, or pretty much whatever will work for you and your presentation. While our Bengal Net is higher in price than the unworkable import model, we can tell you it is money well spent! It looks and works the way it should!"

Imagine showing a dollar bill on all sides. Your hands are totally clean - they may be dirty, but they are empty! The bill is folded. As you drag the folded bill across your mat, a quarter falls from the bill. You open the bill to freely show everything clean. It's folded once again and another quarter magically falls from the folds of the bill. This time one of the quarters is dropped into the folds of the bill. A magical wave of your hand and the coin has vanished...or has it? It's actually penetrated the mat onto the table. The dollar bill is unfolded and shown on both sides, then folded again. A spectator points to an area on your mat and a third quarter falls from its folds at that spot. Once again your hands are shown empty and the bill clean. A forth coin makes its appearance! All four coins are put into a square formation. As the dollar bill is dragged across each quarter, the quarters more quarters instantly appear! In a matter of seconds, your mat is displaying eight coins! If this isn't enough, the bill is unfolded for a final time and shown on both sides. It's folded again and a three inch jumbo quarter falls from its folds!
Bye George was created by Al Lagomarsino over a decade and a half ago. Its original concept was to have a quarter appear from the folds of a dollar bill. This could be done in any environment. When we marketed Al's effect in 1996, I created a formal sit-down routine to go with it. Most of it was described above. In 2006, I purchased the rights to this wonderful effect and took it one step further. The routine is structured so that any phase can be performed by itself, the finales switched around, worked with a close-up pad or without one. The jumbo coin finale can also be a silver dollar or a shower of coins. The doubling of the coins requires additional accessories which can be purchased directly through us or your favorite dealer.
Every facet is covered in the DVD explanation. You do not need to be a sleight of hand expert. The moves are relatively simple to execute. Any currency can be used. Coins up to half dollar size can be used. Bye George was produced with a multi-camera shoot. You will see the effects from different angles. The explanations are detailed and everything you can or can't imagine is covered.
